Earthen Fern is owned by Emily Wilson. She is a horticulturist, artist, and amateur photographer. With a passion for nature and plants, Emily has worked previously as a Native Plant Conservationist and a Landscape Gardener. Earthen Fern lets her combine all of her passions into one, and helps balance her mental health.
She values sustainability, supporting small, and DIY-ing it when necessary. Her goal is to connect you with even the smallest piece of nature, whether it be a piece of art hanging in your home, or you recognizing one native plant while out on an adventure.
The word Earthen is used to describe stoneware (pottery, ceramics, etc) meaning “made from earth.” The fern in her logo is the native Bracken Fern, bringing it back to the connection to native flora of Nova Scotia.
